Privacy Policy

A clear explanation of the information you share with us and how we intend to handle inspection inquiries.

Publication date: October 26, 2026.

These temporary policy pages support the planned replacement of the GoDaddy-hosted website at HoustonHomeInspector.net. The current business website remains live until testing is complete and the owners separately approve the transition. The replacement website is unpublished, its inspection-request forms remain preview-only, and automated owner email and SMS notifications are not active.

Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Brad Leland provides Houston-area home inspection services as a sole proprietor using the public-facing name Brad Leland Home Inspections. This policy describes these temporary policy pages, the planned replacement website, and related inspection inquiries, including contact by phone, text, or email. The current GoDaddy-hosted website at HoustonHomeInspector.net will remain live until the replacement website is fully tested and the owners separately approve the transition. The replacement website will then take its place at the same domain; two permanent business websites are not planned.

Replacement-website status — October 26, 2026: The replacement website is unpublished and is not accepting inspection requests. Its two inspection-request forms remain preview-only and do not submit or save inquiries to our business. The proposed automated website email and business-owner SMS notification system is not active. These separate policy pages contain no inspection-request forms. Calling, texting, or emailing us directly is a separate communication.

Information You Choose to Provide

When you contact us, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, property address or city, approximate square footage, year built, inspection type, preferred date, and notes about the property. A calculator-related request may also include selected options, an estimated fee, and Heroes Discount eligibility.

Provide only information needed for your inquiry. Please do not include Social Security numbers, payment-card details, medical information, military documents, passwords, access codes, or other sensitive information in an inquiry. The proposed inspection-request forms do not require these items.

How Information Is Used

We use inquiry information to answer questions, discuss inspection scope and pricing, check availability, arrange property access, personally confirm scheduling, and provide requested inspection services. We may keep relevant business records, address disputes or legal obligations, and protect the website against misuse.

Brad and his wife personally follow up on inquiries. Selecting a preferred contact method helps us respond appropriately; it does not enroll a customer in an automated SMS campaign. Using the calculator or online form is never required before calling us.

Business-Owner Email and SMS Notifications

When the proposed delivery system is approved, connected, and tested, a website request would be stored privately and sent in full by email to lelandhomeinspection@prodigy.net. A shorter automated SMS alert would go only to Brad Leland at 281-794-9102. Customers are not recipients of this automated SMS program.

The planned SMS summary includes the customer's name and phone number, inspection type, city or location, requested date, and contact preference when provided. Full property addresses, email addresses, and detailed customer notes remain in the email and private request record rather than the SMS summary.

For the proposed owner program, message frequency varies with incoming inspection requests, generally one alert per accepted request. A long alert may be divided into multiple SMS segments. Message and data rates may apply. Brad Leland signed a separate written agreement on October 26, 2026 authorizing inspection-request SMS notifications to his designated mobile number. The SMS notification program is not yet active. Twilio campaign approval, production STOP/HELP functionality, and actual hosted delivery testing remain pending; see our Terms & Conditions.

Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell or rent personal information or provide it to lead generators for their marketing. Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent records will not be sold, rented, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is specific to the recipient and this program; it is not transferable.

Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to host and protect the website, deliver communications, maintain private business records, or provide requested services. Cloudflare hosts these temporary policy pages. The proposed replacement website uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and private processing, and Twilio for business email and SMS delivery. Those proposed request-processing and delivery services are not active. Our existing email and phone providers process communications sent through their services. These limited operational disclosures do not authorize a provider to use SMS consent for its own marketing.

We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. We do not treat these situations as permission to sell or transfer SMS consent.

Website Technology and External Resources

These policy pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, timestamps, and access logs under their own policies. These policy pages do not collect inspection requests or connect to a customer database. The replacement website's final hosting and security configuration still needs review before launch.

These policy pages do not embed external maps, photographs, or other third-party content. The planned replacement website includes a desktop floodplain page that can load the official Harris County mapping tool. That provider receives connection information when its map loads and operates the map under its own policies. External resources and the existing business website may have separate privacy practices. Your browser or phone application also handles any call or email link you choose to open here.

Protecting Your Information

Access to business inquiry information is limited to Brad, authorized business support, and providers needed to handle the inquiry. The prepared online system is designed to keep requests in private storage, validate submissions on the server, and keep provider credentials out of public website code.

Hosted access controls, backup procedures, spam protection, and delivery monitoring must still be configured and verified before online delivery is activated. No website or communication system can guarantee absolute security. Private inspection reports are not approved public downloads, and this policy does not authorize their publication.

Retention and Deletion

Our policy is to retain inquiry and service records only as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, meet applicable recordkeeping requirements, resolve disputes, and protect legitimate business interests. Different records, including inspection files, communications, consent records, security logs, and backups, may require different retention periods.

A specific retention schedule and deletion process for the proposed online request database, consent records, and backups have not yet been adopted or activated. They require owner review before launch. We do not promise automatic deletion after an unverified number of days or years. Provider logs may have separate retention periods.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may contact us to ask about information you have provided, request correction or deletion, or change how you prefer us to respond. We may need to verify your identity and authority before providing or changing records. Requests will be considered subject to applicable law, legitimate recordkeeping needs, and the rights of others; deletion may not be immediate or available for every record.

The website is intended for adults arranging or researching home inspections and is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. Choosing not to use the online form does not affect your ability to call and discuss an inspection.

Questions or Changes to This Policy

Contact Brad Leland at 281-794-9102 or lelandhomeinspection@prodigy.net. Mail may be sent to 3219 Silver Springs Dr., La Porte, TX 77571.

We will review this policy against the replacement website's final configuration before that website is launched. Later policy changes will be posted here with an updated date. Brad's separately signed owner-consent agreement does not activate the SMS notification program; production delivery and operational controls remain pending.

Temporary Policy Location

These temporary policy pages are intended to support registration of the proposed owner-only SMS notification program before the replacement website launches. After the separately approved transition, the replacement website will provide its own Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions at HoustonHomeInspector.net. The temporary policy links will remain available during the handover so reviewers and the owner can reach the current policies. This is not a second permanent business website.
